Subversion in C++ Builder/Delphi XE
I am currently using Subversion 1.6.12 with TortoiseSvn 1.6.10 with local repositories. Is the Subversion integration in C++ Builder XE compatible with Subversion 1.6.12? Is there any conflict in using Subversion from C++ Builder XE and from TortoiseSvn on the same repository? Is there anything special that should be done when installing C++ Builder XE on a system that already has TortoiseSvn installed? Tool palette across C++ Builder and Delphi
I just got the RAD Studio 2010 upgrade, which is a bit of a departure, as I've gone with only C++ Builder in the past. The change is because I've in the past wished I could open Delphi projects when looking for ready-made components. In any case, I now find that the tool palette isn't being updated equally. If I open a Delphi project, such as the 'Drag and Drop' suite, it creates the icons on the Delphi palette, but not the C++ Builder palette. If I create a project for the latter instead, it does the opposite. The same thing happens when I import an ActiveX cont..

Delphi 7 to Delphi XE
Have been using Delphi 7 for many moons ( have got later versions but never upgraded to ) My first problem is: Component Palette. in XE it is a small toolbar docked in top right in Delphi 7 it gives a large view of all the components. I am struggling to be able to cope/access my components.in Delphi XE. Problem with installing a Delphi component in C++ Builder XE
Hi everyone, I hope this is the right forum.. I'm trying to install a delphi component (I only have the .pas sources) in C++ Builder XE. I went through the normal procedure (Components->Install a component; select the .pas files + Install in a new package; Package C++ Builder). I get a new project 'namePackage.bpl' and I right-click on 'Install'. The compilation is succesful and I have a message saying that the new components have been installed and if I create a new project to use them, they are indeed available. How compatible are C++ builder XE2 and Delphi XE2 at class level ?
For example. If I create a dll with C++ builder XE2 and in the exported fonctions I transmit a TmyObject class that inherits from TObject. I load this library in my delphi application and declare the same TmyObject class that inherits from TObject and has the same list of methods and properties (totally identical). Will I be able to access to the C++ class methods and properties from delphi ? will this crash because memory management is different ? or will object memory mapping match and evrything will be fine ? I found some Delphi code to satisfy a need in my C++ Builder application. I created a Delphi unit to contain the code and added it to my project, made sure that the Delphi compiler option to create all C++ builder files was set, and Project->Build the unit. The compiler reports 'done' with no errors or warnings, but no .hpp file is created that will enable me to use the unit in my C++ units. I have done this before with C++ Builder 2006 and earlier, the only difference is the 'Project->Compile Unit' is what I used and is no longer a menu item in XE. Have I go..
